The Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, the Indiana SHPO, is seeking 4 full-time surveyors to complete an architectural field survey of Clark County, Indiana beginning on June 2, 2008 and lasting approximately 12 weeks.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with course work that would provide them with a solid knowledge of nineteenth and twentieth century American architecture. In addition, familiarity with vernacular building types and bridge truss types is important. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of digital photography and Microsoft Office applications. Travel is required so candidates must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license. Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a graduate degree program in architectural history or historic preservation or who have coursework in documentation of historic properties, and registration of historic properties
