Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana has an extensive inventory of covenants and easements throughout the state. Each year, the organization hires interns with experience or background in historic preservation, history, architecture and/or construction to conduct inspections of properties with a covenant or easement. The intern will note items such as condition of the building and its various features, violations, and will then propose remedies or solutions. Digital images are taken of each property as part of a legal record. Working from the organization's Central Regional Office, the interns will work throughout Indianapolis and the state. As such, access to a vehicle in good operating condition is a requirement of the position; mileage is reimbursed. |
