Description: The Research Department seeks an intern to update electronic databases using GIS mapping and archival research (particularly of historic and contemporary maps) to identify New York City tax map block and lot information for entry into existing and new databases.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, is familiar with the tax map block and lot structure of New York City (including the ability to identify changes over time), and has some familiarity with Microsoft Access and GIS software, including ArcMap. The candidate will be available one day a week for four months beginning in September.

Work-study eligible preferred.
