Architectural, Historic Preservation, Business & Marketing Internships Clinton Brown Company Architecture is the full-service historic preservation architecture firm. We revitalize heritage buildings and communities through project concept, planning, architectural design, and management services for renovation, rehabilitation, and historic preservation projects. We seek one or two skilled and enthusiastic interns to assist with Historic Resources Surveys and with tax credit applications. This position may especially appeal to students from the Art History, History or Planning departments at the University at Buffalo, but all are welcome to apply. The responsibilities include: Assisting CBCAs Architectural Historian with preparing the forms and documents for Historic Resources SurveysReviewing previous Historic Resources Surveys to compile a database of significant properties.Research the opportunities for the new state tax credit program among eligible properties - a project that combines preservation planning, market research, and identifying/communicating with potential clients.Coordinating the creation and instigation of marketing projectsSuccessful candidates should have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, experience with common office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe Photoshop, and equipment. The intern must be able to work independently, under the supervision of CBCA personnel. Previous office experience is encouraged but not required; experience in marketing, business, historic research and planning is also preferred but not required. Our office is located on Main Street in downtown Buffalo at the Theatre Station on the Light Rail system. There is also parking nearby. |
