Architectural Historian Careers Mid Level Architectural Historian Positions Edwards Air Force Base, CA
The challenge? Our Architectural Historian career path is your chance to be a member of our Cultural Resources Team evaluating sites for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places, preparing nomination packages and maintaining the site buildings database, and other challenging tasks. You will have access to a great deal of resources to complete your tasks and grow in skill. You should be a self-motivated professional with a successful 2 to 9 year track as an Architectural Historian, have a Masters Degree, and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project. This position will be onsite at Edwards Air Force Base CA. HABS HAER photography and Curatorial experience are a plus but not required.
Additional Information: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. Must pass Company-mandated drug test.
Our Architectural Historians:
" Work with our Cultural Resources staff and client to determine scope and goals of projects.
" Evaluate buildings for National Register eligibility and prepare nomination packages for eligible buildings.
" Re-examine eligible buildings with the purpose of developing preservation strategy/process.
" Coordinate HABS HAER documentation as necessary.
" Maintain the Base buildings database as well as the hard copy buildings files.
" Perform other archaeological/curatorial duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
" Master's Degree in Architectural History or related field.
" Three years of professional experience in architectural history or related field.
" Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
