The Midwest Office of the National Trust for Historic Preservation is seeking a part-time, 3-day a week assistant to administer its National Trust grants program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing grant applications, evaluations and awards for all established Grant Funds. Responsibilities would include processing grant applications from solicitation to final reporting stage; keeping accurate grant tracking records and maintaining constant communication about grant status with staff. Other duties include responding to basic telephone and written inquiries regarding NTHP priorities; programs and other preservation resources; updating and maintaining of contact databases; and providing office operations support to staff as needed. Qualified applicants will have a degree in Historic Preservation or equivalent background in a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Outlook, Word (mail merge knowledge required), Excel, Access. Strong organizational skills and strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential. A strong work ethic, proactive nature and team attitude are critical. Administrative work experience required. Compensation: $15/hour + benefits Flexible part-time hours available |
