Assistant/Associate Professor of Historic Preservation Tenure-Track, Ref #FAC10-014
School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation Roger Williams University School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation seeks outstanding individuals for the following position. Interest in interdisciplinary activity, and the ability to engage with students and faculty in Architecture, Art and Architectural History, Historic Preservation, Visual Arts Studies, as well as others within the University is desirable. Candidates with dual qualifications and those who can bridge undergraduate and graduate studies are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be involved in teaching, advisement and program development, scholarly/creative/professional activities, and university/community service. Position Description Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in preservation planning, archival research, law, finance, and management. Candidates should have a minimum of a masters degree in historic preservation or substantial achievement in the field, with professional and teaching experience preferred. Applicants with expertise in the practice of preservation planning and a demonstrated record of collaborative activity with the related fields of architecture, landscape architecture, the arts, cultural history, and art and architectural history are encouraged to apply.
