Established in 1984, the Center for Historic Preservation is a research and public service department that works in all facets of historic preservation across the nation. It also administers the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area (a partnership unit of the National Park Service) and Teaching with Primary Sources across Tennessee (a partnership unit of the Library of Congress).

Reporting to the Center director, the Specialist will coordinate and carry out the daily activities associated with the Teaching with Primary Sources program of the Library of Congress.

Master's of Arts in museums studies, historic preservation, or a related field required. One year experience combined in coordination of exhibit/film projects and designing/coordinating educational materials, teacher workshops, and materials also required.
