Temporary full-time staff position in downtown Indianapolis is available immediately through June 30, 2010. Responsibilities: provide professional support to the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology to complete reviews of projects pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Minimum qualifications: bachelors degree or equivalent in architectural history, art history, historic preservation or a closely related field; at least one year of experience in research, writing or teaching in American architectural history or restoration architecture with an academic institution, historical organization or agency, museum or other professional institution. Preferred qualifications: graduate degree in history, architectural history, historic preservation or a closely related field with coursework in American architectural history; substantial contribution through research and publication to the body of scholarly knowledge in the field of American architectural history.
