| |
Part-time/on-call architectural historian needed for background studies, historic contexts, historic-structures surveys, and National Register evaluations throughout Texas with growing Austin-based environmental/cultural-resources consulting firm. Must be well-versed in the application of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the Texas Antiquities Code to historic resources in all regions of Texas for various linear and area infrastructure projects (transportation, water/wastewater, energy, etc.). Must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s standards for architectural history, plus at least five years of professional experience as an architectural historian. Must either hold Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Precertification 2.8.1 or be eligible to obtain it. Prior TxDOT experience required. Excellent writing skills are imperative. Must be based in Texas (Austin-San Antonio area preferred). This is a contract position only and does not include any benefits or relocation assistance. Compensation will vary from contract to contract based on project type and client constraints. |
