The Landmark Society of Western New York, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Rochester, New York is an independent, non-profit, membership organization with the primary mission of preserving and enhancing the architectural and cultural heritage of Rochester and Monroe County. The Society also supports preservation activities in the surrounding nine counties.
The Landmark Society produces numerous events, workshops and public services, advocates for historic preservation community planning, operates an historic house museum (an 1805 tavern and farmhouse) and an historic garden (a 1867 perennial garden) |

The Landmark Society of Western New York, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Rochester, New York is seeking an Executive Director. It is an independent, non-profit, membership organization with the primary mission of preserving and enhancing the architectural and cultural heritage of Rochester and Monroe County. The Society also supports preservation activities in the surrounding nine counties. Candidates for the Executive Director position shall have demonstrated leadership in community advocacy and have a substantial professional record of organizational management and financial development. Candidates should have at minimum a baccalaureate degree. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential. The Society has an annual operating budget of approximately $1 million, a staff of 12, and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. For more information visit: www.landmarksociety.org.
