TEC Inc is seeking an Architectural Historian for our York, Pennsylvania office.

Successful candidate will conduct historic site surveys, record historic resources according to relevant standards and guidelines, conduct archival research, develop historic contexts, prepare HABS/HAER documentation and National Register of Historic Places evaluations and nominations, conduct photography of historic resources, and prepare professional reports of investigations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct survey and inventory, conduct research, photograph historic resources, write technical reports for Section 106 consultation, analyze and interpret field and research data, prepare inventory forms and associated documentation, coordinate and communicate project activities and results.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Overseeing data management for NEPA projects

• Directing small cultural resource projects

• Marketing local clients

• Preparing proposals

• Writing reports and sections of EAs/EISs

• Organizing fieldwork, maintaining schedule and budget

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA or MA (preferred) in architectural history, history, or closely- related discipline

• Excellent written, oral and computer skills

• Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to travel

Training and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience recording and evaluating historic sites, performing archival research, and conveying the results

• Experience with photography and photographic equipment

• Experience with report writing, summary of research

• Experience recording military resources is desirable
