The Cultural Resources Management Division at Gateway National Recreation Area, is looking for an Historic Architect to perform architectural services for the preservation, stabilization, rehabilitation, and restoration of 18th through 20th century historic structures, lighthouses and military fortifications. The major duties for this position include: Conducting architectural investigations, condition assessments, and evaluations; Developing architectural drawings and specifications for structures or for portions for complex historical structures and objects; Preparing treatment plans and design guidelines; Providing project management supervision over architectural/engineering contractual services involving less-complex projects; Serving as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR); and may also serve as a Section 106 Cultural Resource Advisor.

Applicant must meet the requirements used by the National Park Service, previously published in the Code of Federal Regulations, 36 CFR Part 61 for an historic architect.
