This position will help to complete reconnaissance level historic architectural field surveys. The pay rate is $11.00 – $12.00 per hour (based on experience). Applicants should anticipate working multiple days in the field away from home over a period of weeks, with weekends at home. Lodging is provided on work days only. Meal allowance is also provided; however, receipts are required. Because of the temporary nature of this position, it is classified as “part-time casual” and no benefits are included. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited school in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, or closely related fieldRESPONSIBILITIES Perform field work at reconnaissance level historic architectural field surveyComplete state survey formsTake digital photographsCommunicate with land owners REQUIRED SKILLS Demonstrated experience in historic preservation, architectural history, history, or closely related field Ability to read maps, take GPS coordinates, identify buildings and structures older than fifty years A valid driver’s license Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship DESIRED SKILLS Academic or professional experience completing reconnaissance level historic architectural field surveys |
