Assists the Director in all aspects of downtown revitalization program development and implementation, coordinates workshops and seminars; provides technical assistance to designated Main Street & Arkansas Downtown Network cities, working with local program directors and non-profit boards in the areas of organization, promotion, design and economic development; and developing and presenting Main Street presentations throughout the state.

Needed skills include organization and management ability; communication skills, both written and verbal; experience in architectural design and historic preservation issues; marketing and promotional; economic development background; urban planning, ability to work with diverse groups.

Experience in downtown revitalization, community development, non-profit management, non-profit fundraising, non-profit board development, volunteer management, and public speaking experience a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in public administration, general business, planning, architecture or a related field; plus three years’ experience in planning, research, or a related field. Prefer: Two years experience in downtown revitalization or work with not-for-profits.
