Higgins Quasebarth & Partners, LLC, a New York City preservation consulting firm seeks a full-time associate preservationist. This full-time position requires providing assistance to senior staff and partners in the following areas: visually inspecting building fabric; reviewing architectural drawings; providing preservation guidance to project teams; communications with the staff at government agencies and producing written narratives describing existing conditions and proposed work in building rehabilitations. Work will include site visits, photography and report production. Work may also include historical research and writing.

Candidate will be familiar with historical trends in architectural development and with the vocabulary of architectural styles and elements. Good communication skills, written and oral are expected, as is the ability to read architectural drawings. Familiarity with Mac OS, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD or GIS is a plus. Candidate will have 3-5 years experience in preservation, planning, architecture or conservation with a graduate degree in historic preservation, preservation planning, architecture, conservation or architectural history.
