Research & Policy Solutions The Research and Policy team identifies technologies that save energy, develops standardized test procedures for those products, and assists government agencies, companies, and utilities in developing energy efficiency specifications. It also designs programs to accelerate market adoption of the most energy efficient products. Ecos is seeking to fill a Research and Policy Intern position in the Durango, Colorado office. Role Description In the Research and Policy Internship role, you will be conducting internet research, building and using spreadsheets, and analyzing power and usage pattern data. You will be measuring electronics using lab equipment, writing drafts of various documents and gathering information via telephone. Role Competencies As our ideal candidate, you should have completed either at least one year of graduate education in an environmental and energy and/or engineering field of study or at least three years of undergraduate education in an environmental and energy and/or engineering field of study. Preferred coursework and experience in: physics, chemistry, electronics or programming, and environmental policy. You should have a strong background in science or engineering and have demonstrated lab or field measurement and data analysis experience. In addition, you should have a strong ability to communicate technical subjects to lay audiences, both in written and verbal form.
