Senior Project Architect

Howard L. Zimmerman Architects, P.C. is an established full service architectural firm that specializes in facade restoration, interior and exterior rehabilitation, and historic preservation with 30 plus years of experience serving the New York City Area.

Our firm is expanding and seeking highly motivated and proactive candidates with exceptional project management sensibility for the position of Senior Project Architect.

Ideal candidates will have:

•Minimum 7+ years of New York City experience in the field of Exterior Restoration Project Management

•Capability to leading teams through all phases of construction

•Ability to work effectively with clients and contractors, and supervise field work.

•Comprehensive technical skills; detail oriented, product aware, and capable to evaluate conditions on site

•Solid project management skills, knowledge of building codes, construction types and materials

•Experience with public review process and regulatory agencies

•Experience with contracts and project administration

•Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft letters, reports, presentations and proposals in clear articulate language

•CAD, MS Word and Excel proficiency

•Preference for candidates with a Degree in Architecture from an accredited university, LEED certification, or other professional membership
