Heritage is seeking a summer intern to assist with Historic Preservation advocacy and outreach in San Francisco. Work will include varied tasks related to digital materials and website development, such as: reformatting and development of “Resources” page of Heritage website to create information repository for visitors looking for technical assistance, development of Google Maps tours related to specific architects in the Bay Area, photographing easement properties for online database, creation and maintenance of an Amazon book shop to digitize in-house book sales, and development of content for iPhone tour app. Work plan can be tailored to intern’s individual interests and expertise. Interns will be working closely with Heritage staff and other volunteers, and are asked to help with Heritage's general office operations when needed. Candidates should be students with a background in Historic Preservation, American History, Urban Studies, Architecture, Art History, Architectural History, Anthropology, Urban Planning, Non-Profit Management, or similar field. Interns must be detail oriented and responsible. Qualifications should include: knowledge of architectural historyfamiliarity with Wordpress CMS strong organizational skillsfamiliarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe SuiteHours are flexible within M-F 9AM to 5PM. The internship is unpaid, but there is opportunity for graduate credit. |
