The Department of Planning and Development Review, Planning and Preservation Division, is seeking a candidate for the position of Planner II. The selected applicant will serve as Secretary to the Urban Design Committee (coordinating the review of all projects within the City right-of-way or on public property as required by the City Charter and City Ordinances), conduct City-initiated master planning and rezoning studies, interpret and implement the various plans and planning initiatives adopted by the City Planning Commission and City Council. The preferred applicant will also represent the Department of Planning and Development Review on various committees and taskforces to provide outreach and education to other City agencies and the general public on best practices throughout the City. The position involves significant interaction with the public and calls for coordination with other City agencies.
