COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS Department of History POSITION: Full-time, tenure-track, assistant professor in the Department of History, in US history and program in Historic Preservation, beginning fall 2012. APPLICATION DEADLINE: To ensure full consideration, applications must arrive by November 30, 2011. The position will remain open until filled. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of History and program in Historic Preservation; conducting research in area(s) of expertise; departmental service. Course load 4/4. QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree (or evidence of successful completion of all requirements for doctoral degree by August 1, 2012) in History. Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university. Demonstrated ability to teach archives, US surveys and women’s history; additional teaching field(s) to complement departmental strengths; teaching experience at the college/university level; evidence of scholarly potential; ability to incorporate technology into the classroom; demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of the issues affecting women and minorities..
