Duties include conducting preservation compliance reviews for proposed projects in Pennsylvania in accordance with National Historic Preservation Act. The Historic Preservation Specialist will work for an Environmental Planning & Historic Preservation Team that supports a disaster recovery mission. The financial assistance projects to be reviewed involve repair and replacement of public and private-non-profit facilities damaged during a severe weather incident. FEMA is seeking experienced professionals with a background in/as Architectural Historian. Preference is given to individuals who have education and experience to meet the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualification Standards and who have prior experience consulting with the State Historic Preservation Office. The applicant must be able to work independently, have computer skills and possess strong communication skills. FEMA TEMPORARY POSITION - BACKGROUND CHECK IS MANDATORY.
