Senior Architectural Historian
Due to expanding work load, Floridas oldest CRM firm, Archaeological Consultants, Inc. (ACI), seeks a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Historian for our corporate offices in Sarasota, Florida. We offer a family oriented and collaborative work environment.
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in historic preservation or architectural history, and three to five years of experience in survey, documentation of historic structures, Section 106 and 4(f) expertise. Also, excellent communication skills, the ability to coordinate projects and perform concurrent assignments is necessary.
Responsibilities will include research, documentation, and analysis of historic properties on-site; preparation of technical reports, Section 106 Case Study and 4(f) reports, as well as National Register nominations. This position requires experience with digital photography, solid computer and word processing skills, and a working knowledge of GIS. Experience with historic tax credit rehabilitations, preservation planning, and knowledge of Florida architecture is a definite plus.
Frequent overnight travel in Florida is required.
