Maryland Environmental Service is hiring a Senior Architectural Historian who will be assigned to the Maryland State Highway Administration, Cultural Resources Section in Baltimore, Maryland. Benefits Included.
Duties include: planning, supervising, and conducting in-house reviews and determinations of eligibility on historic structures, buildings, and bridges. The position also includes managing and reviewing budgets and products from consultants for compliance with Section 106. No overnight travel will be required and only 20% of the work will require time in the field.
Qualifications: Masters degree or Ph.D. in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, or related field, over two years experience working in a cultural resources management firm or agency, and experience in Mid-Atlantic architectural history.
