The Preservation Society of Charleston is seeking a paid summer intern who will work full-time for three months from mid-May through mid-August in support of the Society’s 36th Annual Fall Tours of Homes and Gardens. The internship is funded through an annual grant from the Hundley Fund, administered by the Coastal Community Foundation. The Hundley Intern will work under the Director of Programs and Operations and provide administrative support for the tour, including management of volunteer and guest databases, coordination of mailings to property owners and volunteers, and a variety of other similar tasks. The Hundley Intern will also assist in developing content for the tour program, which is printed for each tour. The Fall Tours of Homes and Gardens is a major fundraiser for the Society, the oldest membership-based community organization in the United States, founded in 1920. Each fall, twenty tours are organized in addition to a number of affinity events, and over 9,000 people will participate.
