The Louis Berger Group, Inc., solicits applications for the position of Archaeologist to be based in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to pursue quality research in a cultural resource management context. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and implementing surveys, site evaluations, and mitigation projects, supervising field crews, and preparing work proposals and technical reports.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a graduate degree in anthropology and at least three years of relevant supervisory level work experience conducting field surveys and evaluating resources within the context of Section 106/110 compliance. Demonstrated experience supervising other personnel, producing quality proposals and reports, and managing multiple projects is essential. Applicants should detail their specialized skills, relevant work experience and technical writing (CRM reports and associated documentation) capabilities. The preferred candidate must have working familiarity with federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines governing cultural resources. Work experience in the Plains and/or Midwest regions is preferred. Applicants must list their current agency and/or state permits and licenses, if any. The successful applicant will be expected to travel for project assignments.
