Summary of Position:
The successful respondent will assist in the generation of meaningful real estate analysis utilizing GDAs methodology in analyzing market opportunities for a variety of land uses. A particular focus of work will be in support affordable/workforce housing and economic development projects within the metro Washington, DC region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
--Primary research including demographic and economic analysis, market trend analysis and market data;
--Planning, execution and documentation of market analysis (reports and presenations);
--Interaction with clients and external stakeholders in order to analyze problems and communicate findings;
--Assist in formulating conclusions from analysis and making strategic recommendations to clients;
--Assist in identifying RFP opportunities and crafting responses
Key Experiences/Skills:
--Experience working with a verity of data sources (including ESRI, Neilson/Claritas, Census) and the ability to extract and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing about trends and analysis within the data;
--Resourceful, comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial environment;
--Prior experience with commercial real estate, affordable housing, or community development desired.
--Upbeat, intelligent and flexible;
--Logical and efficient problem-solving;
--Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint);
--Detailoriented
--Strong writing skills;
--Ability to work within and meet deadlines;
--At least 2 years of work experience including some consulting experience
