Incumbent will provide program oversight, formulation, policy and professional quality direction for the Vanishing Treasures of the North Program (VTN). Incumbent administers program operations in support of the Western Center for Historic Preservation and VTN parks and serves as ambassador of the VTN programs to facilitate the establishment of a viable VTN partnership program. Incumbent writes grants and agreements to benefit VTN parks and resources and serves as COR/ATR for agreements. Then incumbent develops short-range and long-term multi-year plans and programs and maintains close liaison with regional and park personnel. The incumbent will serve as the Program Manager for the annual SCC funding call for VTN resources and will track program funds.


All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement, Friday, August 17, 2012.  Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sectors.

 

GS-13 level:

Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position is managing, directing, or serving as a program specialist in the implementation of one or more highly complex programs related to protection, conservation, or management of park or other public land area with a mission of resource preservation and providing for visitor enjoyment. In addition this experience should have included developing effective partnerships to facilitate successful program management

 

 

 

GS-12 level:

 

Applicant must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position is managing, directing, or serving as a program specialist in the implementation of one or more highly complex programs related to protection, conservation, or management of park or other public land area with a mission of resource preservation and providing for visitor enjoyment. QUALIFICATIONS - To be eligible for this position, you must possess the qualifying specialized experience as described in the occupational/assessment questionnaire and as outlined above.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. This requires applicants who have held a GS position at any time within the past 52 weeks to have served at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this occupation.
