The Montana SHPO Grants Contracts Coordinator (Preservation Grants Administrator) is responsible for ensuring the State Historic Preservation Office's compliance with federal and state fiscal accounting, reporting, and auditing requirements for the use and distribution of grant funds received by the office (federal, state, and private), including annual federal funding received from the National Park Service as part of the national Historic Preservation Fund (HPF). The position is responsible for the daily financial activity of the Montana SHPO program and coordination of fiscal accounting with the Montana Historical Society's administration/Centralized Services Division.
Education and experience associated with this job generally includes a college degree in Public Administration, Public Accounting, Small Business Management and 3-4 years of professional job related work experience. This agency will accept alternative methods of obtaining necessary qualifications, including consideration of applicants with historic preservation backgrounds and demonstrated strong fiscal administrative experience and responsibility.
This is a part-time permanent 0.75 FTE position, scheduled for 30 hrs/week. Employees new to Montana State Governemnt will start at $13.98/hourly.
