HydroGeoLogic, Inc. has a open position for an Assistant Cultural Resources Specialist to work at the Department of Defense (DoD) Legacy Resource Management Program (LRMP) Office in Alexandria, VA.
Provides program and project management support to a federal funding program focusing on natural and cultural resources initiatives in DoD. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing input and management of the annual solicitation, proposal, and review process for the cultural resource portion of the Legacy program. Duties also include
monitoring the progress of funded projects, reviewing project deliverables to ensure consistency with project proposals and supporting overall program coordination activities.
Additional tasks may include representing the program at various conferences and meetings, producing articles for the monthly cultural resources newsletter, and serving as a resource to DoD cultural resource managers, other federal agencies, outside cultural resourcesorganizations, and consultants on all aspects of the Legacy cultural resources program.

BS or BA in Archeology, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or related discipline required. MS or MA preferred.
Competency in MS Office and Word required. Experience with Web enabled databases and Excel a plus. Strong written / verbal communication and organizational skills a must. Must be detail oriented. 0-3 years of related experience required, prior experience with DoD cultural resources aplus.
