GRADUATE PROGRAM IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION
Faculty Position. Assistant Professor of Historic Preservation.
The Clemson University / College of Charleston joint graduate program in historic preservation seeks applications and nominations for the tenure-track position of assistant professor of historic preservation. The candidate will be expected to participate fully in all aspects of the program and will hold primary responsibility for the programs historic preservation studio courses, instruction in architectural documentation, courses in the history and analysis of historic building materials, and supervise, at the discretion of the programs director, student thesis research and writing. Candidates should hold a doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in American Studies, architecture, architectural history, historic preservation, or planning and should have a demonstrated record of excellence in the analysis and documentation of historic buildings and sites and evidence of previous achievement in teaching. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to continue active engagement and publication in their professional and academic specialty. Duties to begin 15 August 2013.
