Job Description 

You will be responsible for providing technical support and graphic expertise in relation to projects designed in-house and externally. You will ensure technical accuracy, adequacy of design, safety, constructability, maintainability, cost effectiveness, and timely completion of documents. You will assist the project team by providing: technical support during stakeholder meetings, creating Standards and Signage Manuals, ensuring the project team is kept up to date on project/assignment progress and development, providing input into work schedules, reviewing and commenting on project designs and details, and making recommendations for modifications to existing standards and drawings. You will also be required to prepare detailed designs and contract documentation for signage projects as required, develop specifications, technical reports and designs related to project developments, solve design issues and review and check design, drawings, specifications and work completion estimates for accuracy, technical detail, schedule compliance and code compliance. You will collaborate with co-workers to execute various projects and assignments.


You require a comprehensive knowledge of Graphic Design principles and practices with specific knowledge of their application to EGD systems. A familiarity with relevant construction related standards, codes, statutes, and their application to infrastructure and facilities projects is also required. Must possess sound judgment and well-developed analytical, interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills. Must be fully conversant with and have experience using current versions of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe in Design, Adobe Acrobat (PDF creator), SketchUP, and Microstation. Must have the ability to work in a team setting and organize workload to achieve timely results. These skills and knowledge would normally be acquired by obtaining a college diploma in graphic design, combined with extensive experience in the wayfinding and signage industry. You will also be required to obtain MUTCD training within 6 months of hire. Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge disability accommodation and accessibility requirements.

Candidate with Architectural or related background with a strong technical knowledge of AutoCAD Architecture and Revit Architecture, 3D modeling experience and BIM to support our growing clientele. The position requires strong technical, communication and time management skills. The candidate must have 5-7 years experience in architecture or a related industry. Passion for architecture and latest BIM technology - particularly Revit - are a must.
