The incumbent in this position is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations and administration of the Seminole Tribe of Floridas Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum. The individual participates in the development and implementation of the Museums operational goals and objectives, strategic plans and policies and procedures. The incumbent manages and coordinates the activities and administration of the Museum, including exhibit organization and scheduling, collections care and preservation, research, public educational programming, outreach programs, volunteer programming, public relations, personnel administration, and fundraising initiatives in order to preserve, promote and enhance the Seminole culture, history and traditions to all Museums visitors. Bachelors degree in History, Anthropology, Art, Museum Science or related field is required. Masters Degree is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the management of a Museum Institution and/or similarly related environment in a lead management capacity is required. Prior experience in program development, managing budgets and generating financial reports is required. Knowledge of Seminole history and culture is highly preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Knowledge of Past Perfect museum software is preferred. Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
