Tourism Cares consolidates and leverages the philanthropy of the travel industry to preserve the travel experience for future generations. Tourism Cares is a seven-year old nonprofit and the outgrowth of the consolidating of two travel and tourism industry foundations, the National Tourism Foundation which was founded by the National Tour Association in 1982 and the Travelers Conservation Foundation which was founded in 1999 by the United States Tour Operators Association.

Tourism Cares, headquartered in Canton, Mass., is offering the opportunity to lead a well-regarded philanthropic leader in the travel and tourism industry.  The ideal candidate will be a creative, vibrant, seasoned executive who will serve as a powerful and effective public spokesperson, broadening the organizations visibility, impact, effectiveness and financial support.

With the retirement of its long-time executive director, Tourism Cares is at an important juncture in its organizational history and is seeking an experienced and energetic leader who will shepherd the organization through its next stage of evolution. The next executive director will successfully strike the optimal balance between strategic growth and institutional health and sustainability.
