Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a temporary position available in our historic preservation department located in our Madison, Wisconsin office.  This position starts in June 2013 and is expected to be full-time this summer with the possibility of continuing part-time (or could be full-time depending on workload) into the fall.  This position offers you an opportunity to research; author property descriptions and historic contexts; and conduct field surveys to document historic properties while applying the National Register Criteria. Travel will be necessary.  Because this position is temporary, there are no benefits.


The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in history, art history, geography, architectural history, or related field.


The ideal candidate will possess any/all of the following: experience conducting research; strong writing skills; coursework in American architectural history; availability to go on field trips as necessary; solid computer skills (especially Microsoft Office); good organizational skills.
