Spring/Summer Position Archaeology

Lawhon & Associates, Inc. located in Columbus, Ohio, has an immediate need for entry-level part time internship position(s):

ARCHAEOLOGIST INTERN
Lawhon & Associates, Inc. (L&A) is one of the leaders in environmental consulting in Ohio. We have an opportunity for the right individual to join our fast-growing practice in NEPA compliance and permitting. The candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to: Phase I and II Archaeological Surveys, artifact identification and curation, records research and report writing. Will also provide support to related specialties. Projects may involve overnight travel to job sites throughout Ohio.

The successful candidate will have education in archaeological field investigations and prehistoric artifact identification. Experience with records searches at the Ohio Historic Preservation Office is preferred. GIS experience is a plus.

Rate of pay:  $14.00-$17.00/hour, based upon education and experience.
