Details: Oatlands Historic House and Gardens, a National Trust of Historic Preservation site, is offering a summer internship to well-qualified undergraduate or graduate students. The internship beginning and end dates will be determined by the students schedule and needs. This position will allow a student to continue on-going research of Oatlands, conduct field surveys and document historic buildings, and work on architectural conservation and cyclical maintenance projects. Some research projects may be conducted from home.
Qualifications: A successful candidate should be working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in historic preservation, architectural history, conservation, or other closely related fields. You should be in good academic standing with strong communication, field documentation and computer skills.
Candidates must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and be able to walk on varying terrain.
At this time the internship is unpaid. Interns are responsible for their own transportation.
