The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia is seeking an inquisitive and motivated graduate intern with an interest in historic preservation or cultural geography and intermediate web design and programming skills for its Preserve Philadelphia! Mapping Project. The goal of this ten-week project is the creation of an interactive map and database of historic resources that will appear on the Preservation Alliances Preserve Philadelphia! website (www.preservephiladelphia.org) for use by Philadelphia residents, preservation and planning professionals, and researchers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with digital mapping tools like GIS and/or Google Fusion Tables and have a working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a graduate degree program in the calendar year 2013.
