GPA Consulting, a California Corporation that specializes in historic preservation planning, is seeking a qualified Associate Architectural Historian to join our diverse team of professionals. 

Duties:

Project Management

§  Track project budgets and expenditures

§  Report to Principal on project schedule and budget

§  Assist Principal in preparing scopes and costs

§  Coordinate and attend meetings with clients

§  Prepare meeting minutes

§  Prepare presentation materials

§  Attend and represent GPA at professional conferences

§  Direct junior staff members in conducting field surveys and research

Historic Preservation Services

§  Independently conduct field surveys of historic buildings

§  Independently conduct research necessary for the evaluation of historic resources

§  Evaluate properties as historic resources according to local, state, and national criteria with minimal supervision

§  Prepare state inventory forms with minimal supervision

§  Prepare Mills Act applications with minimal supervision

§  Prepare HABS/HAER reports with minimal supervision

§  Prepare local, state, and national landmark nominations with minimal supervision

§  Prepare reports of CEQA and Section 106 compliance with direction

§  Develop historic context statements including registration requirements with direction

§  Assess project impacts on historic resources with direction

§  Apply the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with direction
