Please note this is a PART TIME position (about 30 hrs/wk); no benefits
New London Landmarks, a historic preservation advocacy group, seeks a dynamic individual as executive director. We are actively working to preserve New London's historic and cultural resources through public advocacy, educational programs and house and walking tours related to New London's history and architecture, and through collaborations with other historic organizations in the city. Applicants should:
* Be knowledgeable of historic preservation issues and/or experienced in community activism
* Have excellent communication skills; be able to work independently; and be able to work with a diverse group of organizations, government agencies, and people
* Be able to recruit and work with volunteers and interns
* Be proficient in basic office IT functions, including the ability to work with: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher), QuickBooks, FileMaker Pro; Assist with Web site maintenance and be proficient with social media
Successful grant writing is essential as most of our programs are grant-funded.
