The Department of Art History at the College of Charleston invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in modern architectural history (broadly defined as colonial period forward), starting August 2014.  The candidate should be able to teach an introductory course, the history of urban form and upper level courses and topic seminars in area of specialization in the history of architecture.  The teaching load in 3/3.  The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the department's program in Historic Preservation & Community Planning and to maintain an active research program with publications.  We seek a colleague committed to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts institution.

Requirements:  Ph.D., prior teaching experience, and evidence of professional accomplishment.
