Details
 

Principal Investigator, Architectural Historian to perform a wide range of project-based research, survey and analysis on projects involving architecture, historic preservation, and cultural resource management. The nature of the work primarily involves but is not limited to evaluating resources according to Section 106, 36 CFR Part 800. The position requires that the staff member is knowledgeable in conducting reconnaissance- and intensive-level inventories, documenting (photographic and narrative architectural descriptions) buildings, structures, districts, sites, and objects, and evaluating integrity and eligibility according to national, state, and/or local register(s) criteria. Experience completing National Register nominations is required, HABS/HAER documentation, and/or writing environmental impact statement sections is desirable. The position may require out-of-area travel and field work.
