The position of Project Architect / Engineer entails project responsibility from project inception through completion. As part of a project team, the Project Architect / Engineer will work side by side and assist Project Managers in the completion of projects on time and within construction and design budgets. 

The Project Architect / Engineer is the point person for the production of construction documents, competitive bidding and municipal filing and provides continuity through construction administration providing support to project managers. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of a project manager. 

Applicant should have very good organizational and communication skills and possess a B.Arch, M.Arch, MSHP or BSCE degree; three to five (3-5) years of direct experience in the field of exterior restoration and be on track toward license as a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer. LEED accreditation and / or Professional Registration preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform building envelope investigations including water infiltration, facade and roof inspections.
Perform site surveys and baseline drawings.
Prepare building condition surveys and reports.
Produce construction drawings and details.
Coordinate work performed by sub-consultants.
Interface with the Department of Buildings and Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Coordinate competitive bidding services.
Assist with construction administration services.

Minimum Requirements and Attributes:
B.Arch, M.Arch, MSHP or BSCE from a U.S. or U.K. accredited program.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Three (3) years of experience in the exterior restoration / historic preservation field.
One (1) year of experience in construction administration as a Project Architect / Engineer.
Advanced level skills in AutoCAD Architecture 2010 or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to perform inspections from fire escapes, platforms and suspended scaffolding.
Ability to work in teams and follow instructions.
Good communication skills.
Excellent technical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Desirable Attributes:
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, SpecLink-E and SharePoint.
Keen interest in building technology and historic preservation.
Suspended scaffold safety certificate training course.
LEED Certification.
