Land Manager, American Chestnut Land Trust (Calvert County, MD) - The Land Manager is responsible for stewardship of 3,100 acre Parkers Creek Preserve.  Stewardship activities include wildlife management, forest management, interpretation, volunteer coordination, maintenance and long-range planning.  The land manager is also responsible for managing and updating GIS data.  Minimum qualifications include: a Bachelors degree in natural resource management or a related field; expertise in ArcGIS 9.0 or higher and working knowledge of global positioning system tools; ability to work independently and as a team member with a wide variety of people; and ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.  Considerable outdoor and weekend work is required in this position.  Salary commensurate with experience; medical and retirement benefits available.
