The New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation, in conjunction with the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commi ssion, is pleased to announce a fellowship position for Summer, 2014. This paid fellowship is an eight-week position at the Landmarks Preservation Commission, open to graduate degree candidates in historic preservation, architecture, architectural history or a related field.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the Commission's work, including: regulation, enforcement, designation, and community outreach. Specific responsibilities will depend upon the Commission's workload, but will focus on the regulatory work of the Commission with a concentration on updating the Commission's rules for proposed work at designated properties and the permit application guide
The fellowship pays $4,000, commences in June, and requires a commitment of 35 hours per week.
