Description:  The summer lab intern will work alongside the laboratory staff, fulfilling customers requests for customized mortar formulations.  Tasks will include analyzing samples for visual replication of historic mortars, stones, and bricks, formulating mortar mixes based on natural hydraulic lime, and other general laboratory duties.

Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with good color recognition, able to work as a team and independently, have interest in masonry structures and mortar, and be willing to work with their hands.  Candidate should currently be enrolled in a historic preservation degree program (graduate or undergraduate) or similar degree program.

Hours:  40 hours per week for a minimum of eight weeks.
