Position Title: Staff Archaeologist

Job Description: We are seeking a full-time Staff Archaeologist for our Charleston, WV office. This person will be expected to perform Phase I, II, and III archaeological projects in the eastern United States.  At minimum, candidates should be a SOI-qualified archaeologist with 5 years of field experience working on survey, testing, and data recovery projects as well as be able to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (i.e., Phase I surveys on Appalachian Mountains).  Candidates should also have good organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute new tasks.  Masters in Anthropology or Archaeology required, prior work in Kentucky/West Virginia preferred.


Candidates should have the ability to work closely and professionally with clients, supervisors and staff.  Good interpersonal skills, writing skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also essential. Travel will be required.
