We are specialists in the repair and restoration of wooden windows. Our clients are in the Boston area, primarily the North Shore. We utilize traditional techniques as much as possible, and incorporate new technology like steam stripping where it makes sense. Projects range from modest homes to grand estates. Our company was featured in the 2011 This Old House season (the Bedford project).

If you like wooden puzzles then window work would be right for you! From the challenge of repairing damaged muntins to fabricating new jambs for old sash - our work is in demand and business is booming. Ever built an arch top storm window? We need your skills! 

Ever wondered how 17th century construction is different than 19th century? We have hands on history every day with a wide range of projects. We have a great library of joinery sucess stories, and botched repairs that caused more damage. We learn from every project.

We are a small team dedicated to doing the best work possible. 

Job duties:

  • Lead role in repair and construction projects - materials and time estimating
  • Develop skills in all aspects of windows - sash repair, sash fabrication, on site operations including roping and weather stripping, paint removal, glass cutting, putty glazing, painting, fit adjustments
  • Work as part of a team teaching and learning skills and techniques
  • Comply with all safety policies


  • 5 or more years of professional experience working with wood, preferably in historic preservation
  • ability to read and create shop drawings
  • expertise with hand tools and power tools
  • EPA RRP certification a plus
