Organized in 1981, PAM is Minnesotaís statewide, non-profit historic preservation organization with a mission to preserve, protect, and promote Minnesotaís historic resources. The Southeast Partnership Coordinator will bring the PAMís staff to eight full- and part-time professionals. The organization operates with a budget of just over $700,000 and is governed by a 21-member Board of Directors. PAMís main offices are located in downtown St. Paul with office hours between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend meetings and events also take place after regularly-scheduled hours of operation. Position Objectives

The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota (PAM) is seeking a historic preservation professional for the position of Southeast Partnership Coordinator. The Partnership Coordinator will be responsible for technical historic preservation services, historical writing, project oversight, fund development, and partnership building. The Partnership Coordinator will have the opportunity to build preservation programs and lead specific department and program projects while providing program and administrative support within PAMs Field Services program. The goal of this position is to preserve specific places through grant projects, nonprofit partnerships, educate the general public through multi-media materials, and seek out opportunities to further PAMs mission to preserve, protect, and promote historic places in Minnesota.††

Position Information and Location

This is considered a full-time, temporary, at will position continuing to June 30, 2015 with the possibility of creating a permanent position based on available funding and revenues. The Partnership Coordinator is an employee of PAM and reports directly to the Field Services Program Manager.This position will be based in Rochester, but may require travel throughout the 13-county region in the southeastern part of Minnesota for partnership development, preservation services, and educational purposes.The grant provides funding for the Southeast Partnership Coordinator position through June 2015.Continuation of the Southeast Minnesota Partnership Coordinator is dependent upon continued funding.

The Project Coordinator will work 40 hours per week at a prorated salary level of $35,000-$45,000 per year. All PAM employees receive a benefits package of paid time off (PTO), a monthly health insurance stipend, and transportation/parking reimbursements.The Partnership Coordinator also receives a monthly cell and data plan stipend, mileage reimbursements, and pre-paid travel arrangements.

Position Responsibilities

  • Research new partnerships and new technologies that can help further preservation goals.

  • Conduct outreach for partnerships and building relationships with those partners.

  • Implement partnerships campaigns or special projects with PAM team.

  • Conduct research and writing projects on the architecture and cultural history of Minnesota, its neighborhoods, communities and historic places.

  • Support preservation efforts through outreach to community groups and leaders, government officials, preservation organizations and other interest groups regarding Minnesota preservation and education efforts.

  • Develop and implement contracts with partner organizations.

  • Present preservation-related content to the public using a variety of media

  • Assist with grant writing and project development.

  • Assist with event and program planning.

  • Produce reports and studies about preservation, business and development issues.

  • Provide media outreach regarding organizations activities and accomplishments.

  • Formulate and execute events to engage the public in Minnesota preservation efforts.
