John Milner Associates Presevation has an immediate opening for an Architectural Conservator to work in our Arlington, VA office.

Ideal candidates for the position must have a Masters of Science in Historic Preservation with a Conservation concentration or a Masters of Architecture with a certificate in Conservation, plus a minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in the identification, evaluation, documentation, or treatment of materials associated with historic properties. Responsibilities include field investigation, materials testing, materials treatment, report writing, construction documents, and construction administration.   Candidates must be able to demonstrate AutoCAD skills, and should be able to demonstrate project experience in construction document preparation including specifications. Preference will be given to those individuals with strong writing skills.

 The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Materials Conservator in JMA Preservation's Arlington, Virginia, office, but will also be involved in multidisciplinary projects with JMA Preservation's architects.  Project work often entails travel throughout the United States.
